Hi all you gorgeous people out there! I’m Nik Sarina, founder of SLAE Cosmetics and I’m so glad to connect with you here. This blog is all about makeup, colour cosmetics and women who kick-ass in every respect.
So…. how many of us can honestly say we don’t need makeup? Isn’t it like saying we don’t need clothes? Makeup today, being a subset of cosmetics and provided it is made right – is food for your skin and I daresay food for your soul. It just gives you that aura of confidence and positivity.
From the age of 16, I’ve been an enormous fan of makeup. Growing up as an athlete, I quickly learnt that the sun is the biggest enemy of healthy skin and I was always looking for makeup, cosmetics and potions to protect my complexion. My love for makeup and how it really affected my mood grew even more when I worked as a broadcast journalist at the age of 23 and read the morning news. I would be up early morning to leave the house at 3:30am to have my makeup done in order to present the news at 6:00am. I always found it incredibly interesting how different makeup artists could use different colour tones in a multitude of ways and how different looks would directly impact how I felt when delivering the news.
My interest in makeup and cosmetics only grew through the years and I soon became determined to create natural, healthy and convenient makeup that will take you through the day without smudging or fading. In other words – quick, convenient colour cosmetics oozing with goodness and staying-power. A tall order? But somehow we have you covered, babes. Only with SLAE Cosmetics. More to come!
